Our dedicated team of staff is passionate about what we do and works tirelessly to achieve and exceed our goals as a charity. Our mission is to collaborate and partner with targeted underserved rural communities and local development associations to promote grassroots volunteerism and facilitate talent growth and empowerment opportunities. HOSO funding opportunities are primarily focused on low-income individuals and families with the aim of helping them achieve economic independence and viable and sustainable means of livelihood by acquiring skills in the following areas: educational supplies (books & equipment) and if applicable grants or scholarships, trade and crafts training, and apprenticeship/mentorship support.
The overall goal of HOSO’s global vision and mission is that all funded programs and projects successfully achieved its identified goals and accomplish earmarked milestones within specified timelines. The organization implementation strategy involves active and ongoing engagement and collaboration with existing and new implementing partners – in Africa, the United States and international development organizations - with similar vision/focus, that are passionate about making a difference in our targeted intervention areas.
